| 14 | 14 | | Resources that ban baiting deer in counties on the basis of confirmed positive tests |

| 15 | 15 | | for chronic wasting disease (CWD) or bovine tuberculosis (bovine TB) must be based |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | on CWD or bovine TB confirmed in free-roaming animals. |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Under current law, DNR must promulgate rules that prohibit baiting deer in |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | any county that has a confirmed positive test for CWD or bovine TB in any captive |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | or free-roaming animal. The rule may not prohibit feeding deer for longer than three |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | years after the positive test. |

| 21 | 21 | | Under current law, DNR must promulgate rules that prohibit baiting deer in |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | any county that is within 10 miles of the location of a confirmed positive test for CWD |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | or bovine TB in any captive or free-roaming animal. The rule may not prohibit |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | feeding deer for longer than two years after the positive test. |

| 25 | 25 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |
