| 19 | 19 | | contracts or 2) for forest insect control on forested lands, state forest nurseries, or |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | seed orchards or in designated zones of infestation. |

| 21 | 21 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | enact as follows: |

| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 1. 29.601 (4m) of the statutes is created to read: |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 29.601 (4m) USE OF INSECTICIDES. (a) The department may not use any |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | insecticide from the neonicotinoid class on land that is acquired and maintained by |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the department as provided under s. 23.09 (2) (d). |

| 27 | 27 | | (b) Paragraph (a) does not apply to insecticides from the neonicotinoid class |
