35 | 35 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |
---|
36 | 36 | | enact as follows: |

37 | 37 | | SECTION 1. 115.7915 (4m) (em) of the statutes is created to read: |

38 | 38 | | 115.7915 (4m) (em) Notwithstanding pars. (a), (cm), and (e), if a child attending |
---|
39 | 39 | | a private school under the scholarship program under this section withdraws from |
---|
40 | 40 | | the private school under this section during a school year and enrolls in a school |
---|
41 | 41 | | district, the department shall pay the remainder of the scholarship amount due to |
---|
42 | 42 | | the private school for the child for that school year to the school district in which the |
---|
43 | 43 | | child enrolls. |

44 | 44 | | SECTION 2. 118.40 (2r) (e) 3n. of the statutes is created to read: |

45 | 45 | | 118.40 (2r) (e) 3n. Notwithstanding subd. 2p., if a pupil attending a charter |
---|
46 | 46 | | school established by or under a contract with an entity under par. (b) 1. for whom |
---|
47 | 47 | | a payment is due under this paragraph withdraws from the charter school during the |
---|
48 | 48 | | school year and enrolls in a school district, the department shall pay any remaining |
---|
49 | 49 | | amount due to the operator for that pupil for that school year to the school district |
---|
50 | 50 | | in which the pupil enrolls. |

51 | 51 | | SECTION 3. 118.40 (2x) (e) 3. of the statutes is created to read: |

52 | 52 | | 118.40 (2x) (e) 3. Notwithstanding subd. 1m., if a pupil attending a charter |

53 | 53 | | school established under this subsection for whom a payment is due under this |
---|
54 | 54 | | paragraph withdraws from the charter school during the school year and enrolls in |

55 | 55 | | a school district, the department shall pay any remaining amount due to the operator |
