Senate Bill 525 provides an exemption from these limitations for vehicles owned by the state or a county, city, village, or town when tinting is necessary for the protection of personnel, passengers, or equipment. ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1 Assembly Amendment 1 narrows the exemption under the bill to apply only to police vehicles owned by the state or a county, city, village, or town.
