AN ACT relating to: increasing funding for school-based mental health services
grants and making an appropriation.

This bill increases by $102,914,300 in each of fiscal years 2023-24 and 2024-25
the amount appropriated to the Department of Public Instruction for grants to school
boards and independent charter schools for the purpose of collaborating with mental
health providers to provide mental health services to pupils.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SECTION 1.0Fiscal changes.
(1) SCHOOL-BASED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES GRANTS. In the schedule under s.
20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of public instruction under s.
20.255 (2) (dt), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2023-24 is increased by
$102,914,300. In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the
