1010 AN ACT to amend 11.1112 of the statutes; relating to: contributions by
1111 corporations, cooperative associations, labor organizations, and federally
1212 recognized American Indian Tribes.
1313 Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
1414 This bill prohibits a corporation, cooperative association, labor organization, or
1515 federally recognized American Indian Tribe from making a contribution to a
1616 segregated fund established and administered by a political party or legislative
1717 campaign committee. Current law authorizes these entities to make contributions
1818 to a segregated fund of up to $12,000 in the aggregate in a calendar year. Current
1919 law specifies that a segregated fund is a fund established by a political party or
2020 legislative campaign committee for purposes other than making contributions to a
2121 candidate committee or making disbursements for express advocacy.
2222 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
2323 enact as follows:
2424 SECTION 1. 11.1112 of the statutes is amended to read:
2525 11.1112 Corporations, cooperatives, and tribes. No foreign or domestic
2626 corporation, no association organized under ch. 185 or 193, no labor organization,

3636 committee, other than an independent expenditure committee or referendum
3737 committee, but may make a contribution to a segregated fund as provided under s.
3838 11.1104 (6) in amounts not to exceed $12,000 in the aggregate in a calendar year.
