AN ACT to repeal 66.0104 (2) (e) 1., 66.0104 (2) (e) 1m. and 66.0104 (2) (e) 2. a.
of the statutes; relating to: local inspections of rental properties.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law limits the authority of a political subdivision to require inspections
of rental properties. Generally, under current law, such an inspection must be
initiated by a complaint or a special inspection warrant or be performed under a
program of inspections that meets a number of requirements specified in the
statutes. This bill eliminates these restrictions on a political subdivision's authority
to require inspections of rental properties.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SECTION 1. 66.0104 (2) (e) 1. of the statutes is repealed.
SECTION 2. 66.0104 (2) (e) 1m. of the statutes is repealed.
SECTION 3. 66.0104 (2) (e) 2. a. of the statutes is repealed.
