1111 AN ACT to repeal 66.0104 (2) (e) 1., 66.0104 (2) (e) 1m. and 66.0104 (2) (e) 2. a.
1212 of the statutes; relating to: local inspections of rental properties.
1313 Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
1414 Current law limits the authority of a political subdivision to require inspections
1515 of rental properties. Generally, under current law, such an inspection must be
1616 initiated by a complaint or a special inspection warrant or be performed under a
1717 program of inspections that meets a number of requirements specified in the
1818 statutes. This bill eliminates these restrictions on a political subdivision's authority
1919 to require inspections of rental properties.
2020 For further information see the local fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
2121 an appendix to this bill.
