1010 Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
1111 Under current law, the Department of Public Instruction must grant an initial
1212 license to teach to an individual who meets certain eligibility requirements,
1313 possesses a bachelor's degree, and has completed an alternative teacher certification
1414 program that is operated by a nonstock, nonprofit organization and satisfies certain
1515 criteria. This bill removes the requirement that an alternative teacher certification
1616 program be operated by a nonstock, nonprofit organization for purposes of an initial
1717 license to teach.
