1212 This bill repeals a prohibition enacted as part of 2023 Wisconsin Act 12 under
1313 which a local health officer may not issue a mandate to close a business in order to
1414 control an outbreak or epidemic of communicable disease for longer than 30 days
1515 unless the governing body of the political subdivision in which the order is intended
1616 to apply approves an extension, which may not exceed 30 days. The bill eliminates
1717 those restrictions.
1818 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
1919 enact as follows:
2020 SECTION 1. 252.03 (2j) of the statutes, as created by 2023 Wisconsin Act 12, is
