1010 AN ACT to create 230.338 of the statutes; relating to: compensation for certain
1111 employees of the Department of Corrections who are transferred to the
1212 Department of Health Services.

1414 This bill provides that employees of the Department of Corrections who provide
1515 security services at the Wisconsin Resource Center and who are transferred to the
1616 Department of Health Services by 2023 Wisconsin Act 19, the biennial budget act,
1717 are entitled to any raises, wage supplements, or enhancements while employed by
1818 DHS to perform security operations at the Wisconsin Resource Center that they
1919 would have received or been entitled to receive if the employee's position had
2020 remained with DOC, and any raises, wage supplements, or enhancements that are
2121 provided to similarly situated employees of DOC who are employed at maximum
2222 security facilities.

2424 an appendix to this bill.
2525 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
2626 enact as follows:

3434 230.338 Rights of certain employees in the department of health
3535 services. Any employee of the department of corrections who performs security
3636 operations at the Wisconsin Resource Center under s. 46.056 (2), 2021 stats., and
3737 who is transferred to the department of health services by 2023 Wisconsin Act 19,
3838 section 9108 (1) (b), shall, while employed to perform security operations at the
3939 Wisconsin Resource Center, be entitled to any raises, wage supplements, or other
4040 wage enhancements that the employee would have received or been entitled to
4141 receive after June 30, 2023, if the employee's position had remained in the
4242 department of corrections and any raises, wage supplements, or other wage
4343 enhancements that are provided after June 30, 2023, to similarly situated employees
4444 of the department of corrections who are employed at maximum security facilities.
