| 16 | 16 | | provide the purchaser or transferee with either a secure, lockable container that is |

| 17 | 17 | | designed to store a firearm or a trigger lock for the firearm. A seller or transferor who |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | violates this requirement is subject to a fine of up to $500 or imprisonment for up to |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 30 days, or both. |

| 20 | 20 | | Because this bill creates a new crime or revises a penalty for an existing crime, |

| 21 | 21 | | the Joint Review Committee on Criminal Penalties may be requested to prepare a |
