Under the act, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction must nominate a director for the office and the nomination is subject to Senate confirmation. 2023 ACT 100 2023 Act 100 creates an appropriation for the Office of Literacy and the programs it is required to oversee. Additionally, the act specifies that the director of the Office of Literacy is assigned to Executive Salary Group 3 under s. 20.923 (4) (c), Stats.
