1010 Whereas, the State of Wisconsin recognizes that our children are our greatest
1111 resource; and
1212 Whereas, our children need emotional and parental support from both parents
1313 to be as successful as possible; and
1414 Whereas, separated parents who choose to share parenting duties significantly
1515 decrease the chances of undesirable youth troubles and struggles; and
1616 Whereas, shared parenting is shown to have a significantly positive effect on
1717 children's well-being; and
1818 Whereas, Wisconsin is currently the leading state in shared parenting
1919 outcomes for children with separated parents; and
2020 Whereas, increasing the public awareness of the importance of providing
2121 children with the parental support they need from both parents benefits Wisconsin's
2222 children, their parents, and all of Wisconsin's citizens; now, therefore, be it
