| 14 | 14 | | Whereas, state law requires K-12 students to receive certain immunizations |

| 15 | 15 | | to maintain herd immunity and protect the health of those who are unable to receive |

| 17 | 17 | | Whereas, immunizations are considered to be one of the greatest modern |

| 18 | 18 | | medical discoveries of the past century; and |

| 19 | 19 | | Whereas, vaccines are estimated to have prevented 26.8 million |

| 20 | 20 | | hospitalizations and 936,000 deaths among children born in the United States |

| 22 | 22 | | Whereas, the World Health Organization estimates that each year , |

| 23 | 23 | | immunization prevents 3.5 to 5 million deaths globally due to over 20 |
