Relating to: providing for an advisory referendum on whether school districts
should be prohibited from teaching that one race or sex is superior or
responsible for past acts.

This joint resolution calls for an advisory referendum on the question of
whether school districts should be prohibited from providing curriculum or
instruction to students that one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or
sex or that an individual by virtue of the individual's race or sex bears responsibility
for acts committed in the past by other individuals of the same race or sex. The
referendum is to be held at the next spring or general election occurring not sooner
than 45 days after adoption of the resolution.
Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the following
question be submitted, for advisory purposes only, to the voters of this state at the
next spring or general election occurring not sooner than 45 days after adoption of
this resolution:
QUESTION 1: Banning the teaching that one sex or race is superior or
responsible for past acts. “Should school districts in Wisconsin be prohibited from
