---|
11 | 11 | | Wisconsin. |
---|
12 | 12 | | Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau |
---|
13 | 13 | | This bill eliminates daylight saving time. Current law defines standard time |
---|
14 | 14 | | and provides that daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday in |
---|
15 | 15 | | March and ends at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday in November of each year. |
---|
16 | 16 | | Federal law generally preempts states from deviating from standard time or |
---|
17 | 17 | | eliminating daylight saving time, but federal law allows a state that lies entirely in |
---|
18 | 18 | | one timezone, such as Wisconsin, to observe standard time instead of daylight |
---|
19 | 19 | | saving time as long as the observation is throughout the entire state. |
---|
20 | 20 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |
---|
21 | 21 | | enact as follows: |
---|
22 | 22 | | SECTION 1. 125.32 (3) (a) of the statutes is amended to read: |
---|
23 | 23 | | 125.32 (3) (a) No premises for which a Class XBY license or permit is issued |
