1010 Relating to: proclaiming April 26, 2025, as Shared Parenting Day in Wisconsin.
1111 Whereas, the State of Wisconsin recognizes that our children are our greatest
1212 resource; and
1313 Whereas, our children need emotional and parental support from both parents
1414 to be as successful as possible; and
1515 Whereas, separated parents who choose to share parenting duties
1616 significantly decrease the chances of undesirable youth troubles and struggles; and
1717 Whereas, shared parenting is shown to have a significantly positive effect on
1818 children[s well-being; and
1919 Whereas, Wisconsin is currently one of the leading states in shared parenting
2020 outcomes for children with separated parents; and
2121 Whereas, increasing public awareness of the importance of providing children
2222 with the parental support they need from both parents benefits Wisconsin[s
2323 children, their parents, and all of Wisconsin[s citizens; now, therefore, be it
