1414 Relating to: proclaiming March 31, 2025, as Wisconsin[s Transgender Day of
1515 Visibility.
1616 Whereas, International Transgender Day of Visibility, which occurs annually
1717 on March 31, is a day set aside to acknowledge, celebrate, and elevate transgender
1818 and nonbinary people across the world and here in Wisconsin; and
1919 Whereas, transgender and nonbinary individuals have achieved many great
2020 successes in fighting discrimination and continue in their efforts towards equality
2121 and fairness by combating indignity with dignity; and
2222 Whereas, the stories of our transgender and nonbinary neighbors show us
2323 that perseverance can lead to systemic change and better conditions for all; and
2424 Whereas, transgender and nonbinary Wisconsinites work hard to help other
2525 transgender and nonbinary people acquire access to health care, to improve others[
2626 mental and physical well-being, to raise awareness of issues affecting gender-
2727 nonconforming people of color, and to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS; and

4343 Whereas, transgender and nonbinary Wisconsinites in the armed forces serve
4444 our country with bravery and work to improve civil rights and health care for other
4545 transgender and nonbinary military service members; and
4646 Whereas, transgender and nonbinary elected officials and candidates for
4747 office provide examples of courage and confidence in pursuing their values through
4848 political engagement and encouraging others to do so as well; and
4949 Whereas, transgender and nonbinary performers bring authenticity to the
5050 stage and screen and demonstrate the importance of representation by sharing
5151 their lived experiences; and
5252 Whereas, transgender and nonbinary Wisconsinites advocate for others by
5353 creating resources, trainings, and outreach materials to improve the visibility and
5454 inclusion of the transgender and nonbinary community, as well as helping others
5555 access and navigate gender-affirming services; and
5656 Whereas, Diverse and Resilient, FORGE, SHEBA, the Wisconsin
5757 Transgender Health Coalition, GSAFE, the Human Rights Campaign, Fair
5858 Wisconsin, and other organizations across our state have dedicated their efforts to
5959 supporting the transgender and nonbinary community, showing the strength of
6060 collective action and building a more inclusive Wisconsin; and
6161 Whereas, everyone has a role to play in making our communities places where
6262 transgender and nonbinary people are welcomed and supported and have the
6363 opportunity to thrive; and
6464 Whereas, our transgender and nonbinary neighbors in Wisconsin have shown
