15	15	Visibility.
16	16	Whereas, International Transgender Day of Visibility, which occurs annually
17	17	on March 31, is a day set aside to acknowledge, celebrate, and elevate transgender
18	18	and nonbinary people across the world and here in Wisconsin; and
19	19	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary individuals have achieved many great
20	20	successes in fighting discrimination and continue in their efforts towards equality
21	21	and fairness by combating indignity with dignity; and
22	22	Whereas, the stories of our transgender and nonbinary neighbors show us
23	23	that perseverance can lead to systemic change and better conditions for all; and
24	24	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary Wisconsinites work hard to help other
25	25	transgender and nonbinary people acquire access to health care, to improve others[
26	26	mental and physical well-being, to raise awareness of issues affecting gender-
27	27	nonconforming people of color, and to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS; and

43	43	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary Wisconsinites in the armed forces serve
44	44	our country with bravery and work to improve civil rights and health care for other
45	45	transgender and nonbinary military service members; and
46	46	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary elected officials and candidates for
47	47	office provide examples of courage and confidence in pursuing their values through
48	48	political engagement and encouraging others to do so as well; and
49	49	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary performers bring authenticity to the
50	50	stage and screen and demonstrate the importance of representation by sharing
51	51	their lived experiences; and
52	52	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary Wisconsinites advocate for others by
53	53	creating resources, trainings, and outreach materials to improve the visibility and
54	54	inclusion of the transgender and nonbinary community, as well as helping others
55	55	access and navigate gender-affirming services; and
56	56	Whereas, Diverse and Resilient, FORGE, SHEBA, the Wisconsin
57	57	Transgender Health Coalition, GSAFE, the Human Rights Campaign, Fair
58	58	Wisconsin, and other organizations across our state have dedicated their efforts to
59	59	supporting the transgender and nonbinary community, showing the strength of
60	60	collective action and building a more inclusive Wisconsin; and
61	61	Whereas, everyone has a role to play in making our communities places where
62	62	transgender and nonbinary people are welcomed and supported and have the
63	63	opportunity to thrive; and
64	64	Whereas, our transgender and nonbinary neighbors in Wisconsin have shown

89	89	their full selves by living their truth; now, therefore, be it
90	90	Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the Wisconsin
91	91	Legislature does hereby recognize and proclaim March 31, 2025, to be Wisconsin[s
92	92	Transgender Day of Visibility.
