17 | 17 | | prescribe, enforce, or authorize a ratio of apprentices to journeyworkers for |

18 | 18 | | apprenticeship programs or apprentice contracts that requires more than one |

19 | 19 | | journeyworker for each apprentice. This bill increases the allowable ratio to one |
---|
20 | 20 | | journeyworker to two apprentices. |

21 | 21 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |

22 | 22 | | enact as follows: |

23 | 23 | | SECTION 1. 106.015 (1) of the statutes is amended to read: |

24 | 24 | | 106.015 (1) Except as provided in sub. (2), the department may not prescribe, |
---|
25 | 25 | | enforce, or authorize, whether through the promulgation of a rule, the issuance of a |
---|
26 | 26 | | general or special order, the approval of an apprenticeship program or apprentice |

27 | 27 | | contract, or otherwise, a ratio of apprentices to journeyworkers for apprenticeship |

42 | 42 | | (1) This act first applies to an apprenticeship contract governed by a collective |

---|
