2025 Senate Joint Resolution 24 ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION Relating to: proclaiming April 26, 2025, as Shared Parenting Day in Wisconsin. Whereas, the State of Wisconsin recognizes that our children are our greatest resource; and Whereas, our children need emotional and parental support from both parents to be as successful as possible; and Whereas, separated parents who choose to share parenting duties significantly decrease the chances of undesirable youth troubles and struggles; and Whereas, shared parenting is shown to have a significantly positive effect on children[s well- being; and Whereas, Wisconsin is currently one of the leading states in shared parenting outcomes for children with separated parents; and Whereas, increasing public awareness of the importance of providing children with the parental support they need from both parents benefits Wisconsin[s children, their parents, and all of Wisconsin[s citizens; now, therefore, be it Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin Legislature hereby proclaim April 26, 2025, as Shared Parenting Day in Wisconsin.
