14	14	Visibility.
15	15	Whereas, International Transgender Day of Visibility, which occurs annually
16	16	on March 31, is a day set aside to acknowledge, celebrate, and elevate transgender
17	17	and nonbinary people across the world and here in Wisconsin; and
18	18	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary individuals have achieved many great
19	19	successes in fighting discrimination and continue in their efforts towards equality
20	20	and fairness by combating indignity with dignity; and
21	21	Whereas, the stories of our transgender and nonbinary neighbors show us
22	22	that perseverance can lead to systemic change and better conditions for all; and
23	23	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary Wisconsinites work hard to help other
24	24	transgender and nonbinary people acquire access to health care, to improve others[
25	25	mental and physical well-being, to raise awareness of issues affecting gender-
26	26	nonconforming people of color, and to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS; and

42	42	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary Wisconsinites in the armed forces serve
43	43	our country with bravery and work to improve civil rights and health care for other
44	44	transgender and nonbinary military service members; and
45	45	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary elected officials and candidates for
46	46	office provide examples of courage and confidence in pursuing their values through
47	47	political engagement and encouraging others to do so as well; and
48	48	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary performers bring authenticity to the
49	49	stage and screen and demonstrate the importance of representation by sharing
50	50	their lived experiences; and
51	51	Whereas, transgender and nonbinary Wisconsinites advocate for others by
52	52	creating resources, trainings, and outreach materials to improve the visibility and
53	53	inclusion of the transgender and nonbinary community, as well as helping others
54	54	access and navigate gender-affirming services; and
55	55	Whereas, Diverse and Resilient, FORGE, SHEBA, the Wisconsin
56	56	Transgender Health Coalition, GSAFE, the Human Rights Campaign, Fair
57	57	Wisconsin, and other organizations across our state have dedicated their efforts to
58	58	supporting the transgender and nonbinary community, showing the strength of
59	59	collective action and building a more inclusive Wisconsin; and
60	60	Whereas, everyone has a role to play in making our communities places where
61	61	transgender and nonbinary people are welcomed and supported and have the
62	62	opportunity to thrive; and
63	63	Whereas, our transgender and nonbinary neighbors in Wisconsin have shown

88	88	their full selves by living their truth; now, therefore, be it
89	89	Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the Wisconsin
90	90	Legislature does hereby recognize and proclaim March 31, 2025, to be Wisconsin[s
91	91	Transgender Day of Visibility.
