A BILL

1 AN ACT relating to motor vehicles; amending when
2 notification and reporting is required for motor vehicle
3 accidents; and providing for an effective date.

7. W.S. 31-5-1105 and 31-5-1106(c) are
8 amended to read:

12 The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident

4 of communication give notice of the accident to:

6he local police department if the accident
7 occurs within a municipality;, otherwise or
8
9o the nearest office of the state highway
10 patrol or to the office of the county sheriff.

2 (c) Every police officer who investigates a motor
3 vehicle accident

6 in:

8odily injury to or death of any person; or
9
10otal property damage to
11 extent

13, either:

15t the time of and at the scene of the
16 accident; or

18hereafter by interviewing the
19 participants or witnesses. shall forward a written report
20
