7-AN ACT relating to cemeteries and burials; amending
8-provisions related to the structural integrity and
9-esthetics of columbariums; and providing for an effective
10-date.
11-Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:
12-Section 1. W.S. 35-8-402(a)(iv) through (vi) is
13-amended to read:
14-35-8-402. Regulations and specifications generally;
15-application to certain columbariums.
16-(a) No person, firm, partnership, association,
17-company or corporation shall construct any community vault,
18-crypt, columbarium or mausoleum, wholly or partially above
19-the surface of the ground, to be used to contain the body
20-or remains of any dead human being unless the same shall be
21-located within the confines of an established cemetery
22-containing not less than five (5) acres, which cemetery
23-shall have been in existence and operation for a period of
24-at least five (5) years immediately preceding the time of
25-the erection thereof, nor until plans and specifications
26-therefor shall be approved by the department of health.
27-Such plans and specifications shall set forth the sections,
28-halls, rooms, corridors, elevators or other subdivisions
29-thereof, with their descriptive names and numbers, and
30-shall provide:
31-(iv) That the exterior walls and roof shall be
32-constructed of granite,, slate, sandstone,
33-limestone, concrete block masonry or any other material of
34-similar properties that achieves structural integrity and
35-shall not be less than six (6) inches in thickness ORIGINAL HOUSE

41-to be structurally sound and to withstand exterior
42-weathering;
43-(v) That exterior doors shall be constructed of
44-granite, marble, slate, sandstone or limestone, bronze or
45-aluminum alloys or any other material or alloy of similar
46-properties;
47-(vi) That interiors shall be constructed of
48-granite, marble, slate, sandstone,, concrete
49-or any other material of similar properties that achieves
