2222 12 (a) Every hospital, health care clinic and long-term
2323 13 care facility that receives any state funds shall be

2828 4 (i) Incidents of workplace violence against
2929 5 health care providers;

3131 7 (ii) The category of the person committing the
3232 8 violence, including:

3434 10 (A) Patient;

3636 12 (B) Health care provider;

3838 14 (C) Family members or acquaintances of
3939 15 patients;

4141 17 (D) Others, as specified by the person
4242 18 making the report.

4444 20 (iii) Patient-related risk factors that may have
4545 21 contributed to the violence, such as mental health disorder
4646 22 diagnoses or substance use;

4848 2 restricted patient visitation, lack of security or
4949 3 excessive wait times;

5151 5 (v) The types of incidents, including physical
5252 6 assaults, attempted physical assaults, verbal abuse,
5353 7 threats of harm or verbal discrimination based on race, sex
5454 8 or gender;

5656 10 (vi) The victims of the reported incidents by

5959 13 (vii) The location of each incident, by physical
6060 14 address and department of the hospital, clinic or long‑term
6161 15 care facility.

6363 17 (b) The department of workforce services shall report
6464 18 the information in subsection (a) of this section, as well
6565 19 as the total number of incidents reported between July 1,
6666 20 2025 and July 1, 2026, to the joint labor, health and
6767 21 social services interim committee not later than October 1,
6868 22 2026.

7070 2 means as defined in W.S. 1-1-130(b)(i).

7272 4. The department of workforce services shall
7373 5 promulgate all rules necessary to implement the provisions
7474 6 of this act, including the creation of a standardized form
7575 7 for hospitals, health care clinics and long‑term care
7676 8 facilities to utilize for reporting workplace violence.

8080 12 (a) Except as provided by subsection (b) of this
8181 13 section, this act is effective July 1, 2025.

8383 15 (b) Sections 2 and 3 of this act are effective
8484 16 immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a
8585 17 bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of
8686 18 the Wyoming Constitution.
