13	13	3 workplace violence in hospitals, health care clinics and
14	14	4 long term care facilities as specified; requiring
15	15	5 reporting; providing definitions; requiring rulemaking; and
16	16	6 providing for effective dates.

22	22	12 (a) Every hospital, health care clinic and long-term
23	23	13 care facility that receives any state funds shall be
24	24	14 required to report to the department of workforce services 2025STATE OF WYOMING25LSO-05672HB0155
25	25	1 the following information on a monthly basis beginning
26	26	2 August 1, 2025:

28	28	4 (i) Incidents of workplace violence against
29	29	5 health care providers;

31	31	7 (ii) The category of the person committing the
32	32	8 violence, including:

34	34	10 (A) Patient;
35	35	11
36	36	12 (B) Health care provider;
37	37	13
38	38	14 (C) Family members or acquaintances of
39	39	15 patients;

41	41	17 (D) Others, as specified by the person
42	42	18 making the report.

44	44	20 (iii) Patient-related risk factors that may have
45	45	21 contributed to the violence, such as mental health disorder
46	46	22 diagnoses or substance use;

48	48	2 restricted patient visitation, lack of security or
49	49	3 excessive wait times;

51	51	5 (v) The types of incidents, including physical
52	52	6 assaults, attempted physical assaults, verbal abuse,
53	53	7 threats of harm or verbal discrimination based on race, sex
54	54	8 or gender;

56	56	10 (vi) The victims of the reported incidents by
57	57	11 job type;

59	59	13 (vii) The location of each incident, by physical
60	60	14 address and department of the hospital, clinic or long‑term
61	61	15 care facility.

63	63	17 (b) The department of workforce services shall report
64	64	18 the information in subsection (a) of this section, as well
65	65	19 as the total number of incidents reported between July 1,
66	66	20 2025 and July 1, 2026, to the joint labor, health and
67	67	21 social services interim committee not later than October 1,
68	68	22 2026.

70	70	2 means as defined in W.S. 1-1-130(b)(i).

72	72	4. The department of workforce services shall
73	73	5 promulgate all rules necessary to implement the provisions
74	74	6 of this act, including the creation of a standardized form
75	75	7 for hospitals, health care clinics and long‑term care
76	76	8 facilities to utilize for reporting workplace violence.

80	80	12 (a) Except as provided by subsection (b) of this
81	81	13 section, this act is effective July 1, 2025.

83	83	15 (b) Sections 2 and 3 of this act are effective
84	84	16 immediately upon completion of all acts necessary for a
85	85	17 bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of
86	86	18 the Wyoming Constitution.
