8		-	motor vehicle dealer licenses who sell trailers to submit a
9		-	sales authorization agreement; exempting motor vehicle
10		-	dealers and manufacturers who sell trailers from specified
11		-	provisions; providing definitions; and providing for an
12		-	effective date.
13		-	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:
14		-	Section 1. W.S. 31-16-101(a) by creating a new
15		-	paragraph (xxxii), 31-16-103(a) by creating a new paragraph
16		-	(ix) and 31-16-124 by creating a new subsection (g) are
17		-	amended to read:
18		-	31-16-101. Definitions.
19		-	(a) As used in this act:
20		-	(xxxii) "Sales authorization" means a document
21		-	from a manufacturer or distributor of trailers as defined
22		-	by W.S. 31-1-101(a)(xxiii) that does not contract through
23		-	enfranchisement, authorizing a dealer to engage in the
24		-	business of selling any specified make of trailer other
25		-	than a house trailer as defined by W.S.
26		-	31-1-101(a)(xxiii)(A) or a semitrailer as defined by W.S.
27		-	31-1-101(a)(xxiii)(B).
28		-	31-16-103. Licenses; applications; issuance,
29		-	suspension and revocation; change in ownership; rulemaking.
30		-	(a) An applicant for a license required under this
31		-	act shall, before commencing business and annually
32		-	thereafter submit an application to the department in a

38		-	2(ix) For a new vehicle dealer's license to sell
39		-	trailers as defined by W.S. 31-1-101(a)(xxiii), if the
40		-	sales agreement does not involve enfranchisement, a sales
41		-	authorization from the manufacturer or distributor stating
42		-	that the dealer is authorized to sell any specific make of
43		-	new trailer other than a house trailer as defined by W.S.
44		-	31-1-101(a)(xxiii)(A) or a semitrailer as defined by W.S.
45		-	31-1-101(a)(xxiii)(B).
46		-	31-16-124. Applicability of provisions.
47		-	(g) The provisions of W.S. 31-16-109 through
48		-	31-16-111, 31-16-113, 31-16-114 and 31-16-117 shall not
49		-	apply to dealers or manufacturers of new trailers other
50		-	than a house trailer as defined by W.S.
51		-	31-1-101(a)(xxiii)(A) or a semitrailer as defined by W.S.
52		-	31-1-101(a)(xxiii)(B). The provisions of W.S. 31-16-108
53		-	shall not apply to manufacturers of new trailers other than
54		-	a house trailer as defined by W.S. 31-1-101(a)(xxiii)(A) or
55		-	a semitrailer as defined by W.S. 31-1-101(a)(xxiii)(B). ORIGINAL HOUSE
