7-AN ACT relating to legal time and holidays; designating
8-Wyoming Wednesday as a state recognized commemorative day
9-to be observed as specified; and providing for an effective
10-date.
11-Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:
12-Section 1. W.S. 8-4-118 is created to read:
13-8-4-118. Wyoming Wednesday.
14-(a) In celebration of the state of Wyoming and in an
15-effort to bring unity to the state's communities, the
16-second Wednesday of every month shall be known as "Wyoming
17-Wednesday – Brown and Gold Day". Wyoming citizens may wear
18-brown and gold in recognition of Wyoming Wednesday.
19-(b) The governor, not later than July 10, 2025, and
20-not more than once each year thereafter in advance of a
21-Wyoming Wednesday, shall issue a proclamation requesting
22-proper observance of "Wyoming Wednesday – Brown and Gold
23-Day" as outlined in subsection (a) of this section.
24-(c) This section shall not affect commercial paper,
25-the making or execution of written agreements or judicial
26-proceedings, or authorize public schools, businesses or
