Federal mineral royalties-distribution amendments.

A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to state funds; amending the distribution 
2 of specified federal mineral royalties received by the 
3 state; making conforming amendments; repealing obsolete 
4 provisions; and providing for an effective date.

8.  W.S. 9-4-601(d)(intro), (vi), (vii), 
9 (o)(intro) and by creating a new subsection (p) is amended 
10 to read:

14 2025STATE OF WYOMING25LSO-07112HB02941 (d)  Except as provided in subsections 
2 of this section, any revenue received under 
3 subsection (a) of this section in excess of two hundred 
4 million dollars ($200,000,000.00) shall be distributed as 
5 follows:

7 (vi)  From the amounts which would otherwise be 
8 distributed to the school foundation program account under 
9 paragraph (iii) of this subsection and 
10 paragraphs 
11
12 annually appropriated to the common school permanent fund 
13 reserve account the amount determined under W.S. 
14 9-4-719(g). The appropriation shall be credited to the 
15 account as provided in W.S. 9-4-719(g);
16
17 (vii)  From the amounts that would otherwise be 
18 distributed to the budget reserve account under paragraph 
19 (iv) of this subsection and 
20 paragraphs

1 provided by W.S. 9-4-1003(d), but in no event more than 
2 eighteen million dollars ($18,000,000.00) annually;

4 (o)  For fiscal year 2025, any revenue received under 
5 subsection (a) of this section in excess of five hundred 
6 forty-nine million four hundred thousand dollars 
7 ($549,400,000.00)

4W.S. 9-4-601(k), (m) and (n) is repealed.

6.  This act is effective July 1, 2025.
