A BILL
for
1 AN ACT relating to the office of homeland security; making
2 the office of homeland security's cooperation with homeland
3 security agencies in other states and of the federal
4 government discretionary; authorizing the office of
5 homeland security to cooperate with Wyoming law enforcement
6 agencies as specified; requiring the division of criminal
7 investigation to cooperate with the office of homeland
8 security; and providing for an effective date.

12. W.S. 9-1-616(a) and 19-13-105(c)(iv) and
13 by creating a new subsection (e) are amended to read:

5 (a) The division shall cooperate with
6 federal, state, tribal and
7 local law enforcement agencies and officers for the
8 efficient investigation of criminal activity and swift
9 apprehension of persons suspected of violating the criminal
10 laws of this state.

14 (c) The director is the administrative head of the
15 Wyoming office of homeland security. In addition to the
16 duties described in W.S. 19-13-104(d) the director:

18 (iv) Shall maintain liaison with and
19 cooperate with homeland security agencies and programs of
20 other states and of the federal government;
