| 12 | | - | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: |
|---|
| 13 | | - | Section 1. W.S. 21-2-802(a)(ii) by creating a new |
|---|
| 14 | | - | subparagraph (D) is amended to read: |
|---|
| 15 | | - | 21-2-802. Powers and duties; teacher certification; |
|---|
| 16 | | - | suspension and revocation; certification fees; disposition |
|---|
| 17 | | - | of collected fees; required data submissions to department |
|---|
| 18 | | - | of education. |
|---|
| 19 | | - | (a) The board shall promulgate rules and regulations: |
|---|
| 20 | | - | (ii) In addition to paragraph (a)(i) of this |
|---|
| 21 | | - | section, the board shall by rule and regulation provide |
|---|
| 22 | | - | for: |
|---|
| 23 | | - | (D) Alternative certification of teachers |
|---|
| 24 | | - | that requires a baccalaureate degree from an accredited |
|---|
| 25 | | - | college or university and successful completion of an |
|---|
| 26 | | - | accredited or non‑accredited alternative certification |
|---|
| 27 | | - | program or pathway approved by the board that at a minimum |
|---|
| 28 | | - | requires passage of a subject area examination, pedagogy |
|---|
| 29 | | - | examination, United States Constitution examination and |
|---|
| 30 | | - | Wyoming Constitution examination. Issuance of this |
|---|
| 31 | | - | alternative certification shall be limited to the subject |
|---|
| 32 | | - | areas and grade levels successfully completed by the |
|---|
| 33 | | - | applicant. If the applicant is enrolled in or has completed |
|---|
| 34 | | - | an alternative certification program or pathway the |
|---|
