| 17 | 17 | | 11 death on January 15, 2022, of Mr. Horace Wilton Powell, Sr. of |

| 18 | 18 | | 12 Prattville, Alabama, at the age of 89; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 13 WHEREAS, his passing leaves a void in the lives of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 14 his loving family, many friends, and the entire community, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 15 where he was highly regarded; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 16 WHEREAS, Mr. Powell was born on October 18, 1932, to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 17 Eugene and Gertrude Powell; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 18 WHEREAS, Mr. Powell was a faithful member, Sunday |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | 19 School Teacher, and Deacon of First Baptist Church; an Army |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 20 Veteran; a former Rotarian; an Autauga County High School |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | 21 football, wrestling, and basketball coach; an Alabama State |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | 22 Representative; a founding board member of the Prattville |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 23 YMCA; a founding member of the Alabama Fellowship of Christian |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | 24 Athletes; and a Representative of New York Life; and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | 25 WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his parents; |

| 32 | 32 | | 26 brother, Willard Powell; and sister, Peggy McGaha; and |
