| 15 | | - | 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: |

| 16 | | - | 8 Section 1. In Montgomery County, effective beginning |

| 17 | | - | 9 the next term of the county commission after the effective |
|---|
| 18 | | - | 10 date of this act, the salary of each member of the Montgomery |
|---|
| 19 | | - | 11 County Commission shall be increased by sixteen thousand |
|---|
| 20 | | - | 12 dollars ($16,000) per year and two existing unvouchered |
|---|
| 21 | | - | 13 expense allowances granted to each member of the county |
|---|
| 22 | | - | 14 commission equal to the same amount per year shall be repealed |
|---|
| 23 | | - | 15 and replaced by the salary increase provided in this section. |

| 24 | | - | 16 Section 2. Effective beginning the next term of the |
|---|
| 25 | | - | 17 Montgomery County Commission, Act 85-550 of the 1985 Regular |
|---|
| 26 | | - | 18 Session (Acts 1985, p. 842), as amended by Act 2001-568 of the |
|---|
| 27 | | - | 19 2001 Regular Session (Acts 2001, p. 1144); and Act 2007-331 of |
|---|
| 28 | | - | 20 the 2007 Regular Session (Acts 2007, p. 587), are repealed. |

| 29 | | - | 21 Section 3. This act shall become effective |

| 30 | | - | 22 immediately following its passage and approval by the |
|---|
| 31 | | - | 23 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law. |
