2 ENROLLED, An Act,
3 Relating to Montgomery County; to further provide
4 for the salary of the members of the Montgomery County
5 Commission by converting certain existing expense allowances
6 to salary.
7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
8 Section 1. In Montgomery County, effective beginning
9 the next term of the county commission after the effective
10 date of this act, the salary of each member of the Montgomery
11 County Commission shall be increased by sixteen thousand
12 dollars ($16,000) per year and two existing unvouchered
13 expense allowances granted to each member of the county
14 commission equal to the same amount per year shall be repealed
15 and replaced by the salary increase provided in this section.
16 Section 2. Effective beginning the next term of the
17 Montgomery County Commission, Act 85-550 of the 1985 Regular
18 Session (Acts 1985, p. 842), as amended by Act 2001-568 of the
19 2001 Regular Session (Acts 2001, p. 1144); and Act 2007-331 of
20 the 2007 Regular Session (Acts 2007, p. 587), are repealed.
21 Section 3. This act shall become effective
22 immediately following its passage and approval by the
23 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
