2 ENROLLED, An Act,
3 Relating to Montgomery County; to authorize the
4 sheriff to conduct fundraising events; to provide for the use
5 of the proceeds; and to provide that this act is remedial and
6 curative.
7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
8 Section 1. (a) In Montgomery County, the sheriff may
9 conduct fundraising events including, but not limited to,
10 rodeos and may use the proceeds and profits from the events
11 for any lawful purpose relating to the operation of the office
12 of sheriff.
13 (b) The provisions of this act are remedial and
14 curative and any actions taken by the sheriff in conformance
15 with subsection (a) are ratified and confirmed.
16 Section 2. This act shall become effective
17 immediately following its passage and approval by the
18 Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
