| 30 | 30 | 24 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 31 | 31 | 25 Section 1. A community punishment and corrections | |
| 32 | 32 | 26 authority, established pursuant to Section 15-18-179, Code of | |
| 33 | 33 | 27 Alabama 1975, may establish a subunit within the authority | |
| 34 | 34 | Page 1 1 whose primary function is the apprehension or investigation of | |
| 35 | 35 | 2 criminal offenders. | |
| 36 | 36 | 3 Section 2. This act shall become effective on the | |
| 37 | 37 | 4 first day of the third month following its passage and | |
| 38 | 38 | 5 approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law. | |
