2020 13 Relating to Madison County; to further provide for
2121 14 the compensation, including benefits, of the Chair of the
2222 15 Madison County Commission effective with the next term of
2323 16 office commencing in January 2025.
2424 17 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
2525 18 Section 1. (a) Commencing with the term of office
2626 19 beginning in January 2025, the Chair of the Madison County
2727 20 Commission shall receive an annual salary of one hundred fifty
2828 21 thousand dollars ($150,000).
2929 22 (b) In addition to the salary provided in subsection
3030 23 (a), the chair of the county commission shall be entitled to
3131 24 participate in the county health insurance plan and receive
3232 25 any other benefits to the same extent, under the same
3333 26 conditions, in the same manner as county employees and the
3434 27 chair of the county commission shall be entitled to receive
3535 Page 1 1 uniform increases in compensation, such as cost-of-living
3636 2 raises, in the same amount as uniform increases in
3737 3 compensation granted equally to county employees by the county
3838 4 commission.
3939 5 Section 2. This act shall be effective on the
4040 6 expiration of the term of the incumbent chair of the county
4141 7 commission in January 2025.
