13 Relating to Madison County; to further provide for
14 the compensation, including benefits, of the Chair of the
15 Madison County Commission effective with the next term of
16 office commencing in January 2025.
17 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
18 Section 1. (a) Commencing with the term of office
19 beginning in January 2025, the Chair of the Madison County
20 Commission shall receive an annual salary of one hundred fifty
21 thousand dollars ($150,000).
22 (b) In addition to the salary provided in subsection
23 (a), the chair of the county commission shall be entitled to
24 participate in the county health insurance plan and receive
25 any other benefits to the same extent, under the same
26 conditions, in the same manner as county employees and the
27 chair of the county commission shall be entitled to receive
Page 1 1 uniform increases in compensation, such as cost-of-living
2 raises, in the same amount as uniform increases in
3 compensation granted equally to county employees by the county
4 commission.
5 Section 2. This act shall be effective on the
6 expiration of the term of the incumbent chair of the county
7 commission in January 2025.
