3 To alter, rearrange, and extend the boundary lines
4 and corporate limits of the municipality of the Town of
5 Cherokee Ridge in Marshall County.
6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
7 Section 1. The boundary lines and corporate limits
8 of the Town of Cherokee Ridge in Marshall County are altered,
9 rearranged, and extended to include within the corporate
10 limits of the municipality, in addition to the lands now
11 included, all of the following territory:
12 TRACT 1
13 A PARCEL OF LAND SITUATED IN THE NORTHEAST QUARTER
14 AND THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION
15 16, TOWNSHIP 7 SOUTH, RANGE 1 EAST, MARSHALL COUNTY, ALABAMA
16 MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
17 COMMENCING AT A FOUND 1'' OPEN TOP PIPE INDICATING
18 THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SECTION 16, TOWNSHIP 7 SOUTH, RANGE 1

12 WEST 431.82 FEET ALONG THE SAID RIGHT OF WAY BACK TO THE POINT
13 OF BEGINNING.

17 Commencing at the southeast corner of the southwest
18 quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 16, Township 7
19 South, Range 1 East at a 1/2 inch capped rebar. Thence north
20 01 degree 09 minutes 27 seconds east 33.70 feet to a 1/2 inch
21 capped rebar on the north right of way of a county road which
22 is the point of beginning for the property herein described.
23 Thence north 88 degrees 01 minutes 18 seconds west along said
24 right of way 72.93 feet to a 1/2 inch capped rebar at the
25 right of way intersection line for said county road and U.S.

1 Highway 231. Thence north 69 degrees 52 minutes 58 seconds
2 west along the right of way line for U.S. Highway 231 for a
3 distance of 134.16 feet to a 1/2 inch capped rebar. Thence
4 north 31 degrees 22 minutes 22 seconds west along the eastern
5 right of way line for U.S. Highway 231 for a distance of
6 143.85 feet to a concrete right of way monument. Thence north
7 79 degrees 06 minutes 38 seconds east along the right of way
8 line for U.S. Highway 231 for a distance of 37.17 feet to a
9 concrete right of way monument. Thence leaving said right of
10 way North 81 degrees 36 minutes 13 seconds east 244.19 feet to
11 a 1/2 inch capped rebar. Thence south 01 degree 09 minutes 27
12 seconds west 214.20 feet to the point of beginning. Property
13 being in Marshall County, Alabama and containing 0.96 acres.
14 The property herein described comprises no part of
15 the homestead of the Grantor and/or his spouse.
16 Section 2. In accordance with Section 11-42-6(b) of
17 the Code of Alabama 1975, a map showing what territory is
18 proposed to be annexed to the Town of Cherokee Ridge is on
19 file in the office of the Judge of Probate in Marshall County,
20 Alabama, and the map is open to the inspection of the public.
21 Section 3. This act shall become effective on the
22 first day of the third month following its passage and
23 approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
