1515 8 MOURNING THE DEATH OF MR. JIMMIE MAULDIN, JR.

1717 10 WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
1818 11 death on March 30, 2022, of Mr. Jimmie "Peanut" Mauldin, Jr;
1919 12 and
2020 13 WHEREAS, his passing leaves a void in the lives of
2121 14 his loving family, many friends, and the entire community,
2222 15 where he was highly regarded; and
2323 16 WHEREAS, a native of Mobile, Alabama, Mr. Mauldin
2424 17 was born to Jimmie Mauldin, Sr. and Delores Hughes Brown
2525 18 Mauldin; Mr. Mauldin was a 1968 graduate of Williamson High
2626 19 School in Mobile, and a veteran of the United States Navy;
2727 20 after working 30 years in the chemical manufacturing industry,
2828 21 he retired from ELF Atochem; and
2929 22 WHEREAS, Mr. Mauldin was a member of New Shiloh
3030 23 Missionary Baptist Church and was a staunch advocate for his
3131 24 entire beloved family; and
3232 25 WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his parents; he
3333 26 is survived by his wife of 52 years, Roberta Johnson Mauldin;
3434 27 daughters, Iris Jackson (Eric), Monee Mauldin, and Danielle
3535 Page 1 1 Mauldin, his devoted caregiver; son, Jimmie Mauldin, III; nine
3636 2 grandchildren, Eris Jackson, Raven Mauldin, Yaven Mauldin,
3737 3 Jadyn Jasckon, Jimmon Mauldin, Jamel Mauldin, Autumn Campbell,
3838 4 Myla Mauldin, and Nia Hill; four great-grandsons; beloved
3939 5 sister, Jacquelyn Carmichael; brothers-in-law, Robert Johnson
4040 6 and Larry Drummond, also a devoted caregiver; sisters-in-law,
4141 7 Barbara Drummond of the Alabama House of Representatives, Cora
4242 8 Monroe, Jean Potter, and Denise Drummond; and a host of other
4343 9 relatives and many friends; and
4444 10 WHEREAS, although his presence will be greatly
4545 11 missed, the memory of Mr. Mauldin will be cherished in the
4646 12 hearts of all who knew and loved him; now therefore,
4747 13 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
4848 14 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Mr. Jimmie
4949 15 "Peanut" Mauldin, Jr. is recorded with deep sadness, and this
5050 16 resolution is offered in tribute to his life, along with
5151 17 heartfelt sympathy to his family, whose grief is shared by
5252 18 many.
