8	MOURNING THE DEATH OF MR. JIMMIE MAULDIN, JR.
9 
10	WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
11 death on March 30, 2022, of Mr. Jimmie "Peanut" Mauldin, Jr;
12 and
13	WHEREAS, his passing leaves a void in the lives of
14 his loving family, many friends, and the entire community,
15 where he was highly regarded; and
16	WHEREAS, a native of Mobile, Alabama, Mr. Mauldin
17 was born to Jimmie Mauldin, Sr. and Delores Hughes Brown
18 Mauldin; Mr. Mauldin was a 1968 graduate of Williamson High
19 School in Mobile, and a veteran of the United States Navy;
20 after working 30 years in the chemical manufacturing industry,
21 he retired from ELF Atochem; and
22	WHEREAS, Mr. Mauldin was a member of New Shiloh
23 Missionary Baptist Church and was a staunch advocate for his
24 entire beloved family; and
25	WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his parents; he
26 is survived by his wife of 52 years, Roberta Johnson Mauldin;
27 daughters, Iris Jackson (Eric), Monee Mauldin, and Danielle
Page 1 1 Mauldin, his devoted caregiver; son, Jimmie Mauldin, III; nine
2 grandchildren, Eris Jackson, Raven Mauldin, Yaven Mauldin,
3 Jadyn Jasckon, Jimmon Mauldin, Jamel Mauldin, Autumn Campbell,
4 Myla Mauldin, and Nia Hill; four great-grandsons; beloved
5 sister, Jacquelyn Carmichael; brothers-in-law, Robert Johnson
6 and Larry Drummond, also a devoted caregiver; sisters-in-law,
7 Barbara Drummond of the Alabama House of Representatives, Cora
8 Monroe, Jean Potter, and Denise Drummond; and a host of other
9 relatives and many friends; and
10	WHEREAS, although his presence will be greatly
11 missed, the memory of Mr. Mauldin will be cherished in the
12 hearts of all who knew and loved him; now therefore,
13	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
14 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Mr. Jimmie
15 "Peanut" Mauldin, Jr. is recorded with deep sadness, and this
16 resolution is offered in tribute to his life, along with
17 heartfelt sympathy to his family, whose grief is shared by
18 many.
