16+AN ACT
1517 To alter, rearrange, and extend the boundary lines and
1618 corporate limits of the Town of Brantley in Crenshaw County.
1719 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
1820 Section 1. The boundary lines and corporate limits of
1921 the Town of Brantley in Crenshaw County are altered,
2022 rearranged, and extended to include within the corporate
2123 limits of the municipality, in addition to the lands now
2224 included, all of the following territory:
2325 Begin at the Southeast corner of Section 5, Township 7
2426 North, Range 18 East, Crenshaw County, Alabama and run thence
2527 West along the South line of said Section 5 to the Southwest
2628 corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 5; thence run
2729 North to the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of the
2830 Southwest Quarter of said Section 5; thence run West for a
2931 distance of 875 feet more or less to the Southwest corner of
3032 that property as described in Deed Book 160, Page 583 (TPID
3133 24-20-03-05-0-000-014.005); thence run North to the North
3234 margin of Battles Road; thence run Easterly along said North
3335 margin of Battles Road to the West line of the East Half of
3436 the Northeast Quarter of said Section 5; thence continue East
3537 along said North margin of Battles Road for 210 feet more or
3638 less; thence leaving said North margin run North for 420 feet
37-more or less; thence run West for 210 feet more or less to
38-said West line of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of
39-said Section 5; thence run North to the Southwest corner of

147149 Section 2. In accordance with Section 11-42-6(b) of the
148150 Code of Alabama 1975, a map showing the proposed territory to
149151 be annexed to the Town of Brantley is on file and open to
150152 public inspection in the Office of the Judge of Probate in
151-Crenshaw County, Alabama.
152-Section 3. This act shall become effective on the first
153-day of the third month following its passage and approval by
154-the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
