Enrolled, An Act,
To alter, rearrange, and extend the boundary lines and
corporate limits of the Town of Brantley in Crenshaw County.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. The boundary lines and corporate limits of
the Town of Brantley in Crenshaw County are altered,
rearranged, and extended to include within the corporate
limits of the municipality, in addition to the lands now
included, all of the following territory:
Begin at the Southeast corner of Section 5, Township 7
North, Range 18 East, Crenshaw County, Alabama and run thence
West along the South line of said Section 5 to the Southwest
corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 5; thence run
North to the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter of said Section 5; thence run West for a
distance of 875 feet more or less to the Southwest corner of
that property as described in Deed Book 160, Page 583 (TPID
24-20-03-05-0-000-014.005); thence run North to the North
margin of Battles Road; thence run Easterly along said North
margin of Battles Road to the West line of the East Half of
the Northeast Quarter of said Section 5; thence continue East
along said North margin of Battles Road for 210 feet more or
less; thence leaving said North margin run North for 420 feet
more or less; thence run West for 210 feet more or less to
said West line of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of
said Section 5; thence run North to the Southwest corner of
the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 32, Township
8 North, Range 18 East; thence run North along the West line

of said East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 32 to
the North right of way of County Highway #39; thence run
Westerly along said North right of way for 1600 feet more or
less to the West line of that property as described in Deed
Book 148, Page 179 (TPID 24-15-09-32-0-000-001.000); thence
leaving the North right of way of County Highway #39 run North
along the West line of that property as described in Deed Book
148, Page 179 (TPID 24-15-09-32-0-000-001.000) to the
Northwest corner of that property as described in Deed Book
148, page 179 (TPID 24-15-09-32-0-000-001.000); thence run
East along the North line of said Section 32 to the Northeast
corner of said Section 32; thence run East to the Northeast
corner of the West Half of the West Half of said Section 33;
thence run South to the Southeast corner of said West Half of
the West Half of Section 33, Township 8 North, Range 18 East; 
thence run South to the Southeast corner of the West Half of
the Northwest Quarter of Section 4, Township 7 North, Range 18
East; thence run East to the Northeast corner of the North
Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 4; thence run South
to the Southeast corner of said North Half of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 4; thence run West to the Northeast corner
of that property as described in Deed Book 94, Page 179 (TPID
24-20-02-04-0-000-005.000); thence run South to the Southeast
corner of said property as described in Deed Book 94, Page 179
(TPID 24-20-02-04-0-000-005.000); thence run Southerly along
the East line of that property as described in Deed Book 148,
Page 241 (TPID 24-20-02-04-0-000-012.000) to the Southeast
corner of said property as described in Deed Book 148, Page

241 (TPID 24-20-02-04-0-000-012.000); thence run East to the
Northwest corner of that property as described in Deed Book
114, Page 445 (TPID 24-20-02-09-0-000-002.002); thence run
Southerly to the Southwest corner of that property as
described in Deed Book 114, Page 445 (TPID
24-20-02-09-0-000-002.002); thence run Easterly to the
Southeast corner of that property as described in Deed Book
114, Page 445 (TPID 24-20-02-09-0-000-002.002); thence run
South to the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 7 North, Range 18
East; thence run East to the Northeast corner of the Southwest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 9;  thence
run South along the East line of said Southwest Quarter of the
Northeast Quarter of Section 9 to the existing Northern limit
of the Town of Brantley, Alabama; thence run Westerly along
said Northern limit of the Town of Brantley to the West line
of Section 9; Township 7 North, Range 18 East; thence run
North to the Southeast corner of Section 5, Township 7 North,
Range 18 East and point of beginning.
Section 2. In accordance with Section 11-42-6(b) of the
Code of Alabama 1975, a map showing the proposed territory to
be annexed to the Town of Brantley is on file and open to
public inspection in the Office of the Judge of Probate in
Crenshaw County, Alabama.
Section 3. This act shall become effective on the first
day of the third month following its passage and approval by
the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
