15 | 17 | Relating to Tallapoosa County; to establish the Lake | |
16 | 18 | Martin-Tallapoosa County Tourism and Visitors Bureau; to | |
17 | 19 | provide for the board of directors of the bureau; and to | |
18 | 20 | authorize the board to receive and expend funds for the | |
19 | 21 | promotion of tourism. | |
20 | 22 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
21 | 23 | Section 1. (a) The Lake Martin-Tallapoosa County | |
22 | 24 | Tourism and Visitors Bureau is established in Tallapoosa | |
23 | 25 | County for the purpose of promoting tourism in the county. | |
24 | 26 | (b) The Lake Martin-Tallapoosa County Tourism and | |
25 | 27 | Visitors Bureau shall be managed by a board of directors | |
26 | 28 | composed of all of the following: | |
27 | 29 | (1) Two members appointed by the Tallapoosa County | |
28 | 30 | Commission. | |
29 | 31 | (2) One member of the City Council of the City of | |
30 | 32 | Alexander City appointed by the city council. | |
31 | 33 | (3) One member appointed by the Alexander City Chamber | |
32 | 34 | of Commerce. | |
33 | 35 | (4) One member to represent Wind Creek State Park | |
34 | 36 | appointed by the board members provided for in subdivisions | |
35 | - | (1) to (3). | |
36 | - | (5) One member of the Dadeville Chamber of Commerce | |
37 | - | appointed by the board members provided for in subdivisions | |

75 | 77 | (e) The board may receive and expend state, county, | |
76 | 78 | municipal, and other public funds and funds from private | |
77 | 79 | sources. All funds shall be expended to promote tourism in | |
78 | 80 | Tallapoosa County and in the Lake Martin and surrounding area. | |
79 | 81 | Section 2. This act shall become effective on the first | |
80 | 82 | day of the third month following its passage and approval by | |
81 | 83 | the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law. | |
