WHEREAS, it is with profound sadness that we note the death of Mrs. Claudia Mae Crimes Robinson; and WHEREAS, her passing leaves a void in the lives of her loving family, many friends, and the entire community where she was highly regarded; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Robinson was born on May 31, 1946, in Midway, Alabama; she was the ninth child born to the late N. Davis and O.B. Crymes; and WHEREAS, after graduating from Trenholm in 1969, she became a licensed practical nurse and began working at St. Jude Catholic Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama; and WHEREAS, Claudia married Willie "Bub" Robinson and moved to Cleveland, Ohio; during this time, she worked for St. Luke's Hospital until the birth of her daughters; and WHEREAS, upon returning to Montgomery, she accepted a job with Montgomery Food Processors, where she was a devoted employee until she became the caregiver for her mother; and WHEREAS, Claudia was a active member of Mt. Gillard Missionary Baptist Church; she had a servant's heart and was the caretaker for many children; in addition, she volunteered with the English Village Neighborhood Association, the Poet Nation Super Grands, and many other community organizations; in her spare time, she loved 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 HR45 INTRODUCEDHR45 INTRODUCED Page 2 bowling, bingo, trips to the casino, napping, cooking and spending time with family and friends; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her siblings, David Crymes, Charles Crymes, Leatha Foster, Hildred Sneed, Ola Mae Rostick, Moses Crymes, and Tommy Crymes; and WHEREAS, continuing her legacy and cherishing memories are her daughters Kimwana Robinson and Danica Taylor (Bruce); bonus daughters, Quanda Robinson and Patrice "Penni" McClammy; her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "GG", Bruce "Deuce" Taylor, II, and Jyrah Taylor; a bonus granddaughter, Triniti Brown; godson, Larry Donald Robinson, Jr.; siblings, Inell Price, Mildred Crymes, James Crymes, and Hosea Crymes (Rosie); sisters-in-law, Mary Crymes, Mary Elizabeth Shipman, and Garlee Johnson; brothers-in-law, Leon Robinson, John Robinson, and Reverend Dr. Larry Robinson (Ollie); a devoted friend and neighbor of over 40 years, Deloris Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Mrs. Claudia Mae Crimes Robinson is recorded with sadness and this resolution is offered in tribute to her life and with heartfelt sympathy to her family, whose grief is shared by many. 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 47 48 49 50 51 52
