21 | 21 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: |

22 | 22 | | Section 1. Section 45-39-246 of the Code of Alabama |
---|
23 | 23 | | 1975, is amended to read as follows: |
---|
24 | 24 | | "§45-39-246 |
---|
25 | 25 | | (a) In Lauderdale County, the payments made to the |
---|
26 | 26 | | county commission as authorized in Section 40-28-2 shall be |
---|
27 | 27 | | distributed by the county commission as follows: 10 percent of |
---|
28 | 28 | | the payments shall be distributed to the county to be used in |
---|
29 | 29 | | the county road and bridge fund; 30 percent of such the |
---|
30 | 30 | | payments shall be disbursed on the same formula as school |
---|
31 | 31 | | funds according to how the State Department of Education’s |
---|
32 | 32 | | current expense ratio are apportioned , to the two local school |
---|
33 | 33 | | systems - the Lauderdale County Board of Education and the |
---|
34 | 34 | | Florence Board of Education; 60 70 percent of the payments |
---|
35 | 35 | | shall be distributed to the county general fund and the |
---|

66 | 66 | | Rogersville, the City of Lexington, the City of Killen, the |
---|
67 | 67 | | City of Anderson, the City of St. Florian, and the City of |
---|
68 | 68 | | Waterloo. The county shall share the 60 percent with the |
---|
69 | 69 | | cities in the same ratio that the population of each named |
---|
70 | 70 | | city bears to the population of the entire county Lauderdale |
---|
71 | 71 | | County Agriculture Center Authority . |

72 | 72 | | (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a), |
---|
73 | 73 | | after the establishment of an agriculture authority in the |
---|
74 | 74 | | county, the county commission shall annually distribute one |
---|
75 | 75 | | million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) to the |
---|
76 | 76 | | authority; however, the percentages for the distribution of |
---|
77 | 77 | | the balance of the payments shall remain the same for the |
---|
78 | 78 | | entities listed in subsection (a). " |

79 | 79 | | Section 2. This act shall become effective on the first |
---|
80 | 80 | | day of the third month following its passage and approval by |
---|
81 | 81 | | the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law. |
