BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: Section 1. Section 45-39-246 of the Code of Alabama 1975, is amended to read as follows: "§45-39-246 (a) In Lauderdale County, the payments made to the county commission as authorized in Section 40-28-2 shall be distributed by the county commission as follows: 10 percent of the payments shall be distributed to the county to be used in the county road and bridge fund; 30 percent of such the payments shall be disbursed on the same formula as school funds according to how the State Department of Education’s current expense ratio are apportioned , to the two local school systems - the Lauderdale County Board of Education and the Florence Board of Education; 60 70 percent of the payments shall be distributed to the county general fund and the 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 SB191 INTRODUCEDSB191 INTRODUCED Page 2 general funds of the City of Florence, the City of Rogersville, the City of Lexington, the City of Killen, the City of Anderson, the City of St. Florian, and the City of Waterloo. The county shall share the 60 percent with the cities in the same ratio that the population of each named city bears to the population of the entire county Lauderdale County Agriculture Center Authority . (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a), after the establishment of an agriculture authority in the county, the county commission shall annually distribute one million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) to the authority; however, the percentages for the distribution of the balance of the payments shall remain the same for the entities listed in subsection (a). " Section 2.
