1413 SJR___ MOURNING THE DEATH OF MRS. PATRICIA CAMP FAULKNER.
1514 WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
1615 death on December 9, 2022, of Mrs. Patricia Camp "Patty"
1716 Faulkner at the age of 88; and
1817 WHEREAS, her passing leaves a void in the lives of
1918 her loving family, many friends, and the entire community,
2019 where she was highly regarded; and
2120 WHEREAS, Mrs. Faulkner was born on August 14, 1935,
2221 to Mildred Tillman Camp and Ehney Addison Camp, Jr.; and
2322 WHEREAS, Mrs. Faulkner attended Mountain Brook
2423 Elementary School and Shades Valley High School; she earned
2524 an Associate of Arts Degree from Stephens College in
2625 Columbia, Missouri, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from
2726 The University of Alabama, where she was a member of Tri
2827 Delta Sorority; and
2928 WHEREAS, Mrs. Faulkner served as President of the
3029 Women's Alabama Golf Association; served on the United
3130 States Golf Association Women's Regional Affairs Committee
3231 for 10 years; was a founding member of the Southeastern
3332 Women's Amateur Team Championship and captained Alabama's
3433 first team at that championship; started the Riviera Beach

6160 and Golf Classic with her husband; built a home in Cashiers,
6261 North Carolina, with her husband; and was involved with her
6362 husband in many activities in which their children
6463 participated; and
6564 WHEREAS, Mrs. Faulkner was a lifelong member of First
6665 United Methodist Church and later attended Canterbury United
6766 Methodist Church; was a longtime member of the Old Elyton
6867 Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and The
6968 National Society of the Colonial Dames of America; and was a
7069 member of Little Club, Carousels, and Maskers Dance Club;
7170 she was a golf enthusiast and played for many years at the
7271 Country Club of Birmingham, Mountain Brook Club, Shoal
7372 Creek, and numerous other clubs around the state;
7473 furthermore, she loved spending time with her family and
7574 friends and attending parties; and
7675 WHEREAS, Mrs. Faulkner was preceded in death by her
7776 parents; and husband, David Lawrence "Larry" Faulkner; she
7877 is survived by her children, Genie Stutts (Phil), Tricia
7978 Drew (Mark), Laurie Hereford (Will), and David Faulkner, Jr.
8079 (Nancy); grandchildren, Mallie Drew Taylor (Gifford), Mark
8180 Drew, Jr. (Meagan), Madelyn Hereford Ash (Sam), Phillip
8281 Stutts (Lyndsey), Billy Hereford (Sarah), Patricia Stutts
8382 Harper (Morgan), Caroline Drew Mann (Stephen), Faulkner
8483 Hereford, Patrick Hereford (Lindley), Tillman Drew, Mac

117116 WHEREAS, although her presence will be greatly
118117 missed, the memory of Mrs. Faulkner will be cherished in the
119118 hearts of all who knew and loved her; now therefore,
120119 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
121120 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That the death of Mrs. Patricia
122121 Camp "Patty" Faulkner is recorded with deep sadness, and
123122 this resolution is offered in tribute to her life, along
124123 with heartfelt sympathy to her family, whose grief is shared
125124 by many.
