14	13		SJR___ MOURNING THE DEATH OF MRS. PATRICIA CAMP FAULKNER.
15	14		WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
16	15		death on December 9, 2022, of Mrs. Patricia Camp "Patty"
17	16		Faulkner at the age of 88; and
18	17		WHEREAS, her passing leaves a void in the lives of
19	18		her loving family, many friends, and the entire community,
20	19		where she was highly regarded; and
21	20		WHEREAS, Mrs. Faulkner was born on August 14, 1935,
22	21		to Mildred Tillman Camp and Ehney Addison Camp, Jr.; and
23	22		WHEREAS, Mrs. Faulkner attended Mountain Brook
24	23		Elementary School and Shades Valley High School; she earned
25	24		an Associate of Arts Degree from Stephens College in
26	25		Columbia, Missouri, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from
27	26		The University of Alabama, where she was a member of Tri
28	27		Delta Sorority; and
29	28		WHEREAS, Mrs. Faulkner served as President of the
30	29		Women's Alabama Golf Association; served on the United
31	30		States Golf Association Women's Regional Affairs Committee
32	31		for 10 years; was a founding member of the Southeastern
33	32		Women's Amateur Team Championship and captained Alabama's
34	33		first team at that championship; started the Riviera Beach

61	60		and Golf Classic with her husband; built a home in Cashiers,
62	61		North Carolina, with her husband; and was involved with her
63	62		husband in many activities in which their children
64	63		participated; and
65	64		WHEREAS, Mrs. Faulkner was a lifelong member of First
66	65		United Methodist Church and later attended Canterbury United
67	66		Methodist Church; was a longtime member of the Old Elyton
68	67		Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and The
69	68		National Society of the Colonial Dames of America; and was a
70	69		member of Little Club, Carousels, and Maskers Dance Club;
71	70		she was a golf enthusiast and played for many years at the
72	71		Country Club of Birmingham, Mountain Brook Club, Shoal
73	72		Creek, and numerous other clubs around the state;
74	73		furthermore, she loved spending time with her family and
75	74		friends and attending parties; and
76	75		WHEREAS, Mrs. Faulkner was preceded in death by her
77	76		parents; and husband, David Lawrence "Larry" Faulkner; she
78	77		is survived by her children, Genie Stutts (Phil), Tricia
79	78		Drew (Mark), Laurie Hereford (Will), and David Faulkner, Jr.
80	79		(Nancy); grandchildren, Mallie Drew Taylor (Gifford), Mark
81	80		Drew, Jr. (Meagan), Madelyn Hereford Ash (Sam), Phillip
82	81		Stutts (Lyndsey), Billy Hereford (Sarah), Patricia Stutts
83	82		Harper (Morgan), Caroline Drew Mann (Stephen), Faulkner

112	111		and Elizabeth Faulkner; great-grandchildren, Ellison Taylor,
113	112		Mark Drew III, Taz Taylor, Camp Hereford, Daniel Mann,
114	113		Selden Taylor, Garland Drew, and Gil Stutts; sister, Mary
115	114		Gene Boulware (Thomas); brother, Ehney Camp III (Pat); and a
116	115		host of nieces and nephews; and
117	116		WHEREAS, although her presence will be greatly
118	117		missed, the memory of Mrs. Faulkner will be cherished in the
119	118		hearts of all who knew and loved her; now therefore,
120	119		BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
121	120		HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That the death of Mrs. Patricia
122	121		Camp "Patty" Faulkner is recorded with deep sadness, and
123	122		this resolution is offered in tribute to her life, along
124	123		with heartfelt sympathy to her family, whose grief is shared
125	124		by many.
