| 18 | 18 | Relating to Wilcox County; to ratify and confirm the | |

| 21 | 21 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 22 | 22 | Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, | |
| 23 | 23 | any expense allowances paid to the Tax Assessor and Tax | |
| 24 | 24 | Collector of Wilcox County under the provisions of Act | |
| 25 | 25 | 2016-308 of the 2016 Regular Session (Acts 2016, p. 772), | |
| 26 | 26 | which payments were paid in error through no fault of the tax | |
| 27 | 27 | assessor or tax collector, are ratified and confirmed as if | |
| 28 | 28 | lawfully paid. | |
| 29 | 29 | Section 2. Act 2016-308 of 2016 Regular Session (Acts | |
| 30 | 30 | 2016, p. 772), is repealed. | |
| 31 | 31 | Section 3. This act shall become effective on June 1, | |
| 32 | 32 | 2024. | |
