A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
Relating to Wilcox County; to ratify and confirm the
payments of certain expense allowances paid to the tax
assessor and tax collector.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law,
any expense allowances paid to the Tax Assessor and Tax
Collector of Wilcox County under the provisions of Act
2016-308 of the 2016 Regular Session (Acts 2016, p. 772),
which payments were paid in error through no fault of the tax
assessor or tax collector, are ratified and confirmed as if
lawfully paid.
Section 2. Act 2016-308 of 2016 Regular Session (Acts
2016, p. 772), is repealed.
Section 3. This act shall become effective on June 1,
2024.
