HR____ COMMENDING ANITA WHITLOCK ON HER RETIREMENT.
WHEREAS, we take great pride and pleasure in
commending Anita Whitlock for outstanding professional
achievement on the occasion of her retirement as a teacher
at Good Hope High School in Cullman, Alabama ; and
WHEREAS, for 25 years, Anita Whitlock has been an
integral part of Good Hope High School, specializing in
English and Theater and serving as the advisor for the Youth
Literacy Leaders, an organization aimed at empowering
students by granting them a voice in their educational
journey; through this initiative she actively contributes to
various school events and awards scholarships to seniors in
recognition of their reading achievements ; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Whitlock shines as the guiding force
behind Poetry Out Loud at her school, igniting passion in
students as she mentors them to excel in poetry recitation
at local, regional, and state levels; her students have
excelled at all levels of Poetry Out Loud culminating in a
state victory in the original poetry competition ; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Whitlock is the epitome of relentless
dedication, ceaselessly urging her students to surpass their
limits and achieve greatness; her infectious positivity and
unwavering encouragement extend not only to her students but
also to her fellow educators; when you interact with her,

also to her fellow educators; when you interact with her,
you can count on Mrs. Whitlock to infuse your day with a
burst of optimism and uplift your spirits with her radiant
presence; and
WHEREAS, with her tireless dedication and exceptional
skills, Mrs. Anita Whitlock personifies the finest qualities
of those who enrich the lives of our young people through
the noble vocation of education ; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That it is a distinct privilege to
commend Anita Whitlock for exceptional professional
achievement on the occasion of her retirement, and by copy
of this resolution we convey our highest esteem and our best
wishes in all her future endeavors.
